Why UCO?

India has seen a spectacular success in IT and computers which is acknowledged around the world. But computer education in our country is highly fragmented and is without any common goal or platform. Realising the huge importance of streamlined and competitive education in computers & IT and with a view to fortifying India's success, Unified Council has forayed into Unified Cyber Olympiad (UCO).

It motivates children to strengthen their knowledge of using mental ability, logical reasoning & computer knowledge. Proficiency in these areas will help them in overcoming problems related to software, management crises, lack of judgement and decision-making.

Unified Cyber Olympiad(UCO), which will be held across the country with the following goals :

  • Streamlining computer education
  • Instilling competitiveness in computer education
  • Including logic, reasoning and mental ability in the learning process
  • Identifying talent and assessing students on a nationwide platform
  • Exposing students to the latest technology and study in computers

Eligibility:

Student of classes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10 are eligible to participate in this examination.

Exam Schedule:

Mock Exam : 29-12-2024 (Sunday)

Final Exam : 05-01-2025 (Sunday)

Schedule and procedure will be informed to the candidate before 15 days of the exam.

Results will be declared after 45 days of the exam.

Exam Fee Structure:

Rs. 354/- (Including GST)

Exam Pattern:

There will be a different question paper for each class. All the questions are objective-type with no negative marking for wrong answers.

About UCO-online Exam :

'UCO-online' is a completely online exam. This exam does not require visiting any center and can be taken from the comfort of your home. All a student needs to have for taking this exam is a PC/Laptop with an Internet Connection and a Web-cam.

Syllabus

UCO question papers are more class-specific than syllabus-specific. Please refer the syllabus provided.

Unified Cyber Olympiad question papers are suitable for students following CBSE/ICSE/ISC and various other State Board syllabi.

Prizes for Achievers

A. The Top Ranker and next 2 Rankers in each class are awarded Rs. 10000 and Rs. 5000 respectively + Olympiad Coach Online Subscription worth Rs. 1998 + a Memento to, each.

B) Rankers 4 to 10 of each class are each awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1000 + Olympiad Coach Online Subscription worth Rs. 1998 each.

C) Rankers 11 to 25 of each class are each awarded Olympiad Coach Online Subscription worth Rs. 3996, a Medal and a Certificate of Appreciation, each.

D) Rankers 26 to 50 of each class are each awarded Olympiad Coach Online Subscription worth Rs. 2997, a Medal and a Certificate of Appreciation, each.

Participation certificates are offered to all students who appear for the examination.

Prizes for Zone toppers

Top 5 rankers from each Zone (minimum of 10,000 students in a particular Zone) are awarded with a special award for encouragement. He/she is awarded with Olympiad Coach Online Subscription worth Rs. 1998, a Medal and a Certificate of Appreciation.

While considering declaration of Zone ranks, students from Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Tripura and Mizoram, are considered under one zone : North East States, and those from all Union Territories are considered under one zone : All Union Territories.

International students from All Countries excluding India under one zone

Note: State-wise ranks are declared after excluding the top 50 ranks.

  • 91 - 100% of marks Certificate of Scholars
  • 81 - 90% of marks Certificate of Distinction
  • 71 - 80% of marks Certificate of Brilliance

Digital Certificate and Student’s Performance Report (SPR) are given to every participant.

Interpreting Results

Ranking: When more than one student gets an equal top score, priority for awarding ranks will be according to the marks acquired in the specified order of sections in the question paper.

In case of a tie in deciding a rank because of the same marks, the time taken for completing the test is considered for deciding the rank. One who has taken less time for completing, gets the upper rank.
